Today was wonderful because…
We had a “stay home day”. That’s niece speak for a day when the whole family is home, we don’t go anywhere, and we stay in jammies all day.
List of accomplishments:
-Set up the Christmas tree! (Which meant rearranging the living room furniture and two hours of ‘fluffing’ out the artificial tree branches.)
-Watched a couple of movies with the niece.
-Made a ‘garland’ of snowman faces with the niece. It ended up looking super adorable and it took us about 10 minutes. White paper plates + orange construction paper triangle noses + black construction paper circles in two sizes for eyes and mouths. Glue stick. Hole punch + twine string to connect and loop over banister. Done. Marvel at cuteness.
Overall I would say this was exactly what we all needed today.
